Re: Taigen tiger 1 late Zim ?

Unfortunately all my tiger turrets are airsoft. I agree about the metal being too heavy. I plan to replace a couple of my metal turrets with plastic for just that reason. In some cases I also like the plastic hatches better, too. Strange, I was just thinking about doing a video on plastic vs. metal turrets. I was also thinking about a side by side TX video with all the ones I've amassed so far. You know, the kind of video where you hope you can help someone else avoid the mistakes you've made yourself.
Doing the zim yourself is quite an undertaking. Hats off to you, Sir. I'm sure you already know this, but finescale modeler has a bunch of good zim tutorials. I'm a subscriber so if you don't subscribe and are looking for info let me know and I'll see what I can dig up for you. Are you planning on going the single blade route or using some kind of roller? What are you planning to use for the putty? What would you think about getting together to make some kind of rolling zim tool? I think I have some perfect gears in brass and making them roll isn't a big deal, I just need someone to test the design. If you're interested I'll tell you what dimensions I need for the tool.
