Hello,

the suspension is one from Wecohe/ Corleis.

This suspension is in the moment sold out,no one knows when they will produce more.

Here two fotos how i fix this inside my tanks.

I like this art of suspension, for me the best you can get inside your tank.

Painless, Guido - thanks for checking in!

She is a gem like you say, needs some (a lot) of tlc but I think I can manage it :D

Suspension is lovely, just a pain the adjust - everything has to come out!! Gearboxes luckily stayed in but had to be lifted to adjust the fronts. Once it's all back together I'll see if I have it setup right :D

Not sure on the metal tracks yet, awaiting Tom's plastic ones to see which I prefer.

Zimmerit is staying, although I need to find out if early Tigers had zimm.

More when I order some new bits!

Thanks Paul, it appears to be well built. The guy I got it from bought it of eBay from the original owner and all he did was pop it on a shelf and drive it every now and then.

Need to look at my Tiger books to spot one I'd like to represent. Ideally one with zimmerit :D

Looking through books and photos on the net I've found several early Tiger I with zimmerit, around October 1943, the only field modification done was relocation of the headlights to a single centre one.

So I'm doing Tiger #218 of pz abt 502.

I think... :D

I think the zim looks pretty good, just needs a re-paint to touch up where the paint has chipped off. The suspension DEFF needs to be cleaned up, looks like it was exposed to water and never properly cleaned afterwards looking at the rusty springs. Get yourself some EVAPRO-RUST which is a bio-degradable rust removing liquid that will not hurt the under lying metal. I've used it on many older rusty bits of metal and it works great!
