Yup...I agree Painless....Several companies now include PE and workable tracks...the trend of detailed glue on tracks is slowly fading away....I think it's because there are more and more 1/35th scale modellers motorizing and RCing them
I am like you...not a "Brand"snob at all...I look at the features of a model...then decide what's best....a lot of times AFV just isn't the practical buy for me...did buy a set of their after market rubber tracks...they are ok....a little trick to install them though...you have to pre stretch them before they fit..

Well no, actually you're completely wrong on several accounts, probably because you admittedly don't own any. I have several without interiors (Centurion 5 for instance) and several with one strip rubber tracks. And no, not all are the same externally. I'm not even sure where to start on this but it's a ludicrous statement. You'd get ripped to shreds making a comment like that on somewhere like armorama.

Then IMO...you get "ripped off" buying these AFV kits ...THAT'S the reason I don't own any

PS. The only person that would rip me apart for giving an opinion is a "brand Snob" who thinks paying more actually get's you something better ..because a great modeller should be able to build any brand...and do...because AMV just doesn't make that many

No, you'd get ripped apart because of preposterous statements like all brands are the same which blatantly isn't true. That site specialises in scale model kits and many review and do comprehensive build threads on them to contrast and compare. It's not about paying more or paying less. It's not about snobbery or elitism. Neither is it about anyone's personal abilities as a modeller. It's about giving accurate advice on a topic, something where your short on the former but more than happy to hand out the latter.

It's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last this happens on here....

It won't be long before we get another thread suggesting that indoor wall emulsion paint is used or something to that effect.

ADDED NOTE: I promise ...I will never by AFV anything...their tracks are terrible...and by the way their models are being pimped....they must be just as bad ...not to mention...they don't make anything I would want to buy anyway
