Hey bud, yea I use AK paints and Mig paints. They were both made in the same factory but then the company split. I think AK is now owned by Vallejo, it was started by both Mig Jimenez and Vallejo.

The problem you are having is common, shaking it wont totally mix the paint. Take the lid off and stir it with something strong like a piece of wire or a long thin nail. Once it is mixed drop 3 to 4 steel BBs into it, seal it and then shake.

I put BB's in all my Mig and AK paint and it makes mixing much faster.

The new Mig paints, I think with Yellow caps, come with a ball bearing inside already.

The rust kit is also very nice. Sort of like a modulation kit but more designed to be used with a chipping fluid. The AK chipping fluid is actually much nicer than the Mig one. The Mig one I found was far to inconsistent.

Well the first was in the form of a mini Hot pot....Then set off to paint the two Lee/Grants....it went so well...the relief set in after the second one in the form of Steak and Eggs :haha: ...so I figured the photos could wait....a nap was a better idea in my mind lol :shifty:
