That zoom does look good nice and crisp shot on the KT before it sets off.

I’ve had a thought about my Iphone and rubbish sound. I have a set of Bluetooth headphones, which have a built in microphone for taking calls etc., so I’m going to see if I put them on the model if it picks up the sound better when recording. If that works then maybe a cheap Bluetooth hands-free can be had and dismantled so is a discrete remote microphone.

So why am I opting to use my Iphone? It records in 4k video, although I’ve yet to upload to YouTube at 4K I don’t think the app has the feature. Plus it records slow motion up to 240fps which is nice as a lot of the other camera I’ve looked at only do 60fps.

Will do more playing when I get chance.

Max, that's the exact same KT I started out with! Picked it up as a factory rebuilt unit for $250 and built it into the beast I have now.

I'm sorry, Joe, I thought I told you about that. I just got it this last weekend and I looked hard at the Sony but what swayed me to the Canon is that I've already learned the software stuff to download and all that and it's the same for the Vixia as it is for the T5. I got it for $200 out the door so the price was reasonable, too. So far it works great. Here's a totally off topic video just to show off the camera and how well it went from bright upper light to the shadowed underside. But, Man, youtube sure butchered the quality. It looks a thousand times better from the original file.
