Max, yes, forums like this, when they work, are great levellers across class, nationality, culture, etc. What I like is that you can make friends with people from all over the globe and that you would otherwise never meet - and that can lead to some great advice/info too. Of course the reverse is true too (as I'm sure everyone knows) and the reason I picked this forum group over one or two others is that you would believe the bitching that goes on in some of them (well actually you probably would because it's pretty well known, but I'll say no more about it).
I likewise belong to some excellent heli and multirotor forums and they really can be a breath of fresh air - especially when you are stuck on something.
No doubt this will lead to other acquistions but, for the time being i'm sticking with the KT project! I like you have planned to upgrade the electronics at some point. I have plenty of 6+ channel Tx and Rx but presently can't decide between the IBU2, ElMod, and Clarke. Really interested to know why you picked the IBU2 for you Jagdtiger (but perhaps this is a question for another place)?

Now this thing about the buckets....... :D

Jarndice, no worries, I didn't think you were having a dig at all. I just wanted to be careful not to come across as a big head or know all - it's so easy to be misunderstood these days. Thanks for the advice and pointer, I'll certainly check them out (I admit to being a bit lazy just getting my batteries and related stuff from HobbyKing - I should shop around more!).

Alpha, I agree Phibes is one of those characters that is both reviled and pitied all at once. Having said that given the way he dispatches some of his victims (tormentors?) I think that, really, he must qualify as a bad guy?
And, yes, Hammer movies usually came with a good supply of ladies with certain physical attributes shall we say - back in those days it was less common than today and, of itself, a pretty good reason to be a fan!

It's a toss up for me....think Phibes is what people would like to be in that situation....even at my early age when viewing that series ...found how his methods of revenge to be nothing but poetic...so to me the true villains were the victims...also the poor investigators that were left in his wake with his clever routes of escape...you don't see writing like that anymore for sure....where Phibes knew following the law would get him nowhere ...but following the law of an eye for an eye did :D

:haha: :haha: Indeed so lol....A time when showing just enough to tickle the senses was plenty enough to inspire the imagination :D
