WOW that thing has a TON of room inside! Looks GREAT! I may have to reconsider getting one of these, I really like what you guys are doing with these M1's.

Looks good eh DNAR :D ....might be a good one to invest in if you are still looking...the gearboxes are nice...and it comes with that hull brace

Yep, I'll go for this one ALPHA. Internal upgrades and tracks that Scalawag had put in just makes it a lot better. I will follow his lead on this one. Great and very helpful thread you guys have started here.

HURRY UP MAN!!!....With all that's been done on the ones here...you can't miss :D ...Me? don't need all the internal upgrades...like how the stock 2.4 gig rig works already...don't need torque motors...what I want is some speed gearboxes...these tanks aren't supposed to go slow....they are supposed to fly :haha:

Looking good scalawag. Tank commander is great. Suggest you paint the top of the loaders machine gun skate race a metallic silver color though.

OH! I thought the black box was the HL electronics board. Lucky you got a slipring. I upgraded the turret traverse motor on my Leo2, and while traverse is faster, it's noisy as hell and isn't as fast as I want it to be. I'm looking to replace the turret traverse mechanisms on both the Leo2 and M1. I'll be retaining the BB until Taigen or IMEX finally comes out with an aftermarket BB recoil system like that found in their premium Tiger tanks. IR is nice but I prefer BB because it shoots real projectiles hehehe!

I was hoping the IBU2 was smaller so I can fit it behind the motors where the smoker would be (I removed the smoker as the M1 doesn't really produce that much smoke). Still, the size of the board shouldn't be a problem.

Like ALPHA, I want my modern tanks to fly. They can be pretty fast. And since I'm going to add metal tracks, sprockets, and idlers, as well as add weights to make the suspension really work, it's going to be a pretty heavy tank, so I'll be needing powerful motors for both speed and torque. I'm looking to get one of those Ultimate Gearboxes, the read ones I see on the market, for both tanks.

Wot's the speaker you got? Looks just the right size for my M1 since Pikachu is occupying a lot of space in the driver's compartment.

Thanks for the info scalawag. I'll consider the 480 motors and the speaker. I cannot wait to start spending serious coin for at least one IBU2 Pro package. :)

ALPHA
Yep I will have a Gen 2 and a Gen 3 for sale soon. :D
Well..it's like I said...too bad I'm not closer :'( ....I'd snap those babies up from ya if it weren't for the shipping...With that said...I do know of one member who is doing his "first build"....Either of those rigs would benefit him...perhaps you will find it in your heart to cut him a nice deal ;)

Now on to other things.........How do you like those Tracks....though I think the rubber would save my hardwood floors....how are they on concrete or grass? My metal tracks work pretty well on all surfaces (hard on wood floors lol) ...a tad grippy on concrete...tears up long grass...flies over short....and kicks gravel to the side relatively easily ...The rubber seems like it would get damaged on concrete

Silly question maybe - are these Abrams any good?

They look great from the ones I've seen on the forum!

Very neat wiring love it thanks for the pix.

Wot is the model of the speaker you have? I'm looking to get the TPA with the IBU2 Pro and hook up two speakers, one of which will be where the smoker unit was which will play the engine sounds, and the other will be either in the turret or hull front for the other sounds.
