Thank you guys for the replies.
Dave got back to me, Same price as rctank.de. No option for without the wooden crate.
I'm thinking the HL Pro is what I'll go for. No metal chassis and wheels but better value and may put elmod in it.

Any decision you make on a Sherman is good...HLs are great to build on...all of mine have gone through some kind of change..Would have been harder to do with a Taigen or Mato......and I think there in the UK you have the IR recoil version available...will be fun to see what you make of yours
Good Luck TR

Can I ask what made you go for a Taigen and not a Tamiya?

Which Tamiya Sherman would you compare the Taigen to?

Not digging at the Taigen, just wanted to know why a Tamiya wasn't in your list as it the same price as what you just paid.

To be honest it probably should have been. But the as I have limited time to sit building models it's quite likely the Tamiya would be a £400 box of parts for months where as the HL/ Taigen/ Torro whatever else they go by is RTR. Do you feel the Tamiya is of superior quality to the Taigen?

Put it this way - originally when I got into the hobby I bought a Tamiya Sherman and Tiger I, sold them and left the hobby for a few years. Came back to the hobby and couldn't afford a Tamiya so went HL and Taigen. They were both on eBay within a day of being delivered.
I have recently just acquired a new Leopard and a used Pershing after selling my old kits. Expensive but worth the money.
I'm not saying Tamiya is the best out there, (although it looks that way) but the quality is very good. There are still things you can fix and upgrade but the kits are awesome.
