yeah the custom fuel tank will be in the front cut off from the rest of the tank by a plywood bulkhead. There's plenty of vents and grills in a t34 anyway so I don't see overheating being an issue. I'll also build a large as possible silencer in the back between the drive belts to quiten the typical small engine racket and then have it exit through the normal exhaust pipes don't see that being an issue as there's quite a bit of room inside.

All the drive system is off the shelf pulleys, cogs and shafts from several robotics suppliers and there actually quite cheap. So no need for a metal lathe for this build, I have a large wood lathe and piller drill which are much more useful.

Rather than an internal fuel tank would plumbing one of the external tanks be safer? Easier to fill, and less likely to have a fume problem if you spill any.
