If someone gets that for £1250 they have a bargain. A second hand Armortek, with all the bells and whistles unbuilt can go for £3-4k, a nicely built Armortek like Panther will go for at least 4k if not more. This is a MK1 so slightly cheaper and there is no info on what is inside the tank or what it's made from which counts against it but still, at that price you can't go wrong.

I have had it for as low as $8 per kilo by air, but not from England.
For me it would be a ten grand investment as it sits today.

Herman here's a deal for you....buy it I will collect it for you free of charge store it (might have to move it every now and then) I will even keep the battery charged for you then whenever you are in the UK you will have a toy to play with!!!

You can't.

If you enter a bid of £1000 for something and become the highest bidder, you can then bid £2000, £3000, £4000 and £5000 straight away but will still only pay £1000 if no-one else bids.

I know "SHILLING" is a sensitive subject on this board...but it does still happen...In the Early days of EBAY they used to have a warning posted...seems the only ones that paid attention were the sellers

It's accepted practice for live auctioneers to pick bids "off the wall" if they are selling something which hasn't reached its reserve price, so you're effectively bidding against the auctioneer.
Shilling is easy to spot if the seller ends up buying their own lots, because you can check their selling history for lots which were cancelled at the last minute and then re-offered straight away.

The problem with eBay is that, like all auction houses, a percentage of their profits are based on final value fees, so it's to their benefit for things to sell at as high a price as possible.
The only way to use these sites is to work out what you'd be prepared to pay and stick to it.

As far as the tanks go, I bought a fully working Shlakhter JS-2 on eBay last year for £1800, so, to me, the T34 is over-priced, but it's still cheaper than a new one if someone really wants one.
I'm not sure I've seen anyone else do a Tiger hull interior, let alone one with all the lights and details that have been added, so the original offer price seemed fair to me.
