AYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Looks like the perfect board for the M1!

Ah well. I can always order an IBU3 board for the M1, and the IBU2 Pro goes to the Leo2. And that is wot you call "trickle down technology" ;D ;D ;D

The sound channels and 2 machine guns are wot I find most interesting. The M1 has three MGs, and to have at least two of those (the coax and the fifty) work.... Ooooh la la....

Looking forward to this one. :)

Dimensions are 100x60x25 and comes in a plastic enclosure.

Sounds like it will be very similar to the RC tanks Australia "ASP" board.
I have tried it and its a winner. :thumbup:

Maybe looking at beginning of next year :'(

The board has had a redesign to add some extra features which as knocked everything back a bit.

Ooooooooooooh....

Looks like I'll hold out for next year instead of getting a second IBU2 Pro.

Then again, that 10% discount you got is so enticing.... ;D ;D ;D

Ian,
I'm looking around for ideas on how to bring my 12 volt Stuart to life that don't involve speed controllers and receiver boards. Would an IBU board work with this application? I plan on replacing the stock motors with 5 pole Graupner Speed 600s that have the transistors built into the motor. They are rated for 8.4 volt but will run excellently at 12

Hi Painless,

Looking at the spec sheet for the motor it runs at 11A so either the IBU2 or IBU3 will power it. Although it will be dependent on the gearboxes, i.e. if the gearing is too high (fast) it is likely the sharp in rush of current could trigger the firmwares overload protection.

Regarding the IBU3, I see that it has a 10W + 10W onboard amplifier. Does this mean there is a 2-channel audio onboard without needing a TPA? If so, that would be awesome, as it would make the board more compact compared to the IBU2 Pro + TPA.

I really cannot wait for this board. :)
