Kieser, maybe I misunderstood your one post, do you propose I do a pin wash of every line in the zimmeret?

Applied a flat clear coat to seal what I had already done, then applied some grime streaking and a few coats of European dust. Then a little pin washing but I need to perfect the mix of paint and thinner as its not flowing as nicely as I want it to.

I'll try to pin wash the zim coating but DAMN its gonna take all day to do it! No way for me to do as you suggest and wipe off any excess on the upper hull due to the cables and few tools on the sides but I'll do what I can on them. The turret should be easy enough to do same for the front, I'll try and see how it turns out.

Tired to let it dry and then come back to clean off the peaks of the zim and I didn't care for how it came out that much, too dark. Rub more and the paint starts to come off on the edges, wound up having to work on the area several times to let the paint dry again before trying to wipe off more pin wash. Tried it the other way of putting it on and wiping right away and found this worked MUCH better for me with this type of zim. Also hit the rear hatch detail parts and front details around the drivers hatch with a pin wash and it looks pretty good. Also hit the road wheels, idler wheels, and the drive sprockets with the pin wash and wiped off the excess and they came out real nice! Not sure I want to try pigments as the tank looks real good IMHO but I'll post up pics so you guys can see what you think or if it needs more. Tomorrow I'm going to hit it with a couple coats of flat clear coat to seal everything once again. May hit it with another coat or 2 of European dust wash and see how that looks but that will be after the flat clear coats.

Ok so here it is after some more weathering, some pin washes and some grime streaking. I took the pics outside so the effects could be better seen what do you all think?




















Its going to receive a couple more coats of flat clear to seal what I have so far and then I have to decide if it needs anymore weathering. I have some chalks I used to use to weather my trains that I may use on the tank but I'm not sure if I want anymore or if it needs any more. Thoughts?

Now how difficult can the interior be? Perhaps some nice pastel wallpaper, a few throws, whatever the hell they are!(my lady talks about throws and highlighters whenever she has HER friends round ) a few family photographs, somewhere for the dogs and a decent armchair with ready access to the fridge. shaun
