Of course the down side to this is there are people sitting back feeling smug that they've finally done everything they can possibly do to their tank, have a little browes on the forum and then start banging their head on the keyboard

Hi, Very interesting . I am re doing my HL S&S Tiger 1 to a post April 44 model of which some had a turret protection ring . I found a guy in the States had cut the hole out of the body and moved it back 10mm . I think he was adding a Tamiya turret . I have stuck with the HL one but placed the ring on the underside in the centre of the turret . Its a bit fidlly and I had to alter the turret rotation cog and re-mount the rotation motor . Its not 100% but the turret spins round better and enabled me to fit a turret protection ring .

Glad I didn't prime mine this weekend! Something else to add - altho cutting that out of plasticard is going to be a real ******* of a job...
