I've been making and selling custom Tank Transport Carriers for RC Tanks for a while now...
They work really well and protect the tanks while transporting them to & from the battlefield.
They are pretty rugged and can be used as a means of handsomely displaying your tank as well.

Hi Kelly, how much are your boxes? I could do with getting 2.
I have a couple of cases I've used to transport a Sherman, Stug3 or similar sized tank.
I need something to carry and protect my Panthers and King Tiger.
Cheers
Tim

Hi you could build one like this http://www.rc-panzerketten-forum.com/wb ... eadid=9020

transport box and house/building all in one you can build them to suit your tank small for Sherman big for King Tiger. If you built them with battle damage the roof blown off you can make them stackable.Keep your tank safe while moving then have buildings for battlefield when you get there.

regards pete

Hi Tim,
I typically make them in 3 sizes (sm, Med, Lg)...
Small sizes will hold 1/16 scale Sherman Tanks (with short main gun), Stug (III & IV) and even the KV-1.
Medium sizes are good for Panther, Tiget I, Pershing, and similar sized Tanks.
Large sizes are good for King Tigers, Jagdtiger, Jagdpanther, and other larger sized Tanks.

As for the prices, I've typically been selling (basic non-painted) for:
Small $40.00
Medium $45.00
Large $50.00

The prices are for a basic flat gray color. For a (basic) custom camouflage paint job (to match your Tank) ad $10.00 for each unit.

Right now I am about 1 - 2 weeks out on building them... If you are interested send me a PM for contact information.

Thanks Panzerhun,
I made them to look like the old style tool boxes.... I just thought it was a good and simple deign to use.
And as I thought, they do work very well for this purpose.

Kelly, those look fantastic! The prices are very resonable for them as well. I hope you don't mind if I copy them to build my own as I fear the shipping to the states would kill me.

Kelly, are you in the UK or USA?
I will definately get 2 boxes if you are in the UK or Europe.
As Jackalope says shipping between UK & USA is a killer.

I just got whacked by customs for some 1/6 tank parts form the USA.
Parts were only $14 but postage to UK was $40.
Ive now got to pay an extra £17.50 to Fedex on behalf of UK customs.

Total rip off as they calculate the net worth of the item including the postage costs.

Makes my blood boil.....

You guys have to pay a customs charge? Well damn that sucks! And I thought we had thieves in this country.

Yup, imports from the USA get stung big time with fees, strangely anything from China rarely gets hit?

I guess that's what TTIP/TTP is all about, not that anyone is being told anything on either side of the Atlantic.
