I think it really should be personal preference. If you are trying to sell something or are looking for personal help at some point and you want people to help you will quickly learn that putting your location up gets quicker and more responses but no one should be forced to do it. We are forced to do enough in this crazy world now.

As you can see I personally have all my info up as I want lots of help!

Sure it'd be nice to know where someone is from if you want to buy something from them but some people do not feel comfortable putting their info out there and I certainly can respect that, not sure why others can't.

Me, I'm not worried about putting my info out there because my house and I are heavily armed.

Merlin my friend a lot of us are either serving or ex serving personnel and fully understand why you are reluctant to reveal your exact location,
If you read my entry there is only a general area mentioned and in truth the Country where you can be found would be more than enough to allow help from a local source to be established,
Although if you live in the United States or Canada or Australia where the distances are so much longer perhaps one of the four cardinal points of the compass could be included. shaun

Giving or not giving a location is entirely up to the user, of course it can be useful in some cases but it is in no way going to be enforced. Have a good day everybody
