Only the Taigen Tiger I has the latch underneath the left mud guard. All the new metal Taigen hulls has the quick release on the bottom. Some of the early KV metal hull uses two hex screws in lieu of the latch.Kiaser wrote:So the base is not metal it is all plastic ?
This is the one you have. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjYcgaf40Mg Sorry this one

Right I've checked the tank over
but I can't see a plate that Kiaser refers too...
There are 3 screws closest to the front that I imagine are holding in the gearboxes, as for the rest I haven't the foggiest hah might have to see if YouTube holds any clues
Thanks again guys!

FHS,
Per your request in the other thread, to remove the plastic Pro version upper from lower, unscrew the phillips head screws in 8 of the 11 openings in the bottom of the lower hull ( not counting the small one that holds the battery cover in place) The three holes grouped together near the rear of the lower hull are for the Smoker unit. Do not remove those either. Your upper should feel loose and separate easily. Be careful not to pull the upper and lower too far apart without first unplugging the wiring coming from the upper and going to the RX mounted in the lower.
regards,
Painless

Re: New PzKpfW Panther Ausf G owner question!
Quick update
1. I opened the hull up, it appears the gearboxes already have a little bit of a greasy substance applied
2. I didn't have anything to put the tank on so the tracks ran free, so I just took manoeuvred round the patio and then tried the garden border, everything seems fine
3. I've decided to buy a battery, I went for the HPI Plazma 4700mah
the stock on lasted just short of one hour
4. Newbie mistake. Haha I cut the top off the bottle of smoker fluid a little too low and so the connecter to pour the fluid in won't fit
I managed to still get some down the connecter, but no smoke appeared, maybe I need to add more, or buy a fresh bottle :p

Re: New PzKpfW Panther Ausf G owner question!
Yeah, I might just buy a fresh bottle of fluid because I ruined the nib on this one :p I don't think I flooded it though, I wouldn't say more than a drop or so went into the connecter, how much of that actually made it to the smoke unit itself, I'm uncertain :p
Just for future reference though, if it is flooded, does the fluid evaporate?
when I was doing my research before buying I'm sure I read somewhere that if it's flooded you leave it to evaporate and go from there
Oh yeah, I won't be doing puddles
I'll just use it in dry weather I think, mud and grass is enough for me
Sure is alive too! The sound out of it is loud, not crystal clear however, but that can be sorted in the future
The air soft gun is brilliant on it though, managed to clear the garden fence and hit next doors conservatory
ahah
