Hi,

I am taking my DX6i back to the warehouse on monday evening because mine is one of the recalled numbers and the warehouse is only 5 miles away from me.

I will ask for 6 ( did you realy measn 6 ) of the kits for you.

I have been told that the recall is because the pots on the inside of the controller may not respond to the full throw of the control stick movement.....bad news if you are flying and don't pull out of a dive quick enough.....or like me if you are landing a heli and don't stop as the ground touches the skids.....expensive flop....

The DX6i problem is intermittent too, so in deapth testing is imperative and time consuming aparently. I could be without my 1 week old RC kit for a month or so because there is a hell of a pile of returns for them to test and rectify.

I went back to the shop where I bought it, and they had to send all their stock back, so I couldn't get a replacement.

I will pm you on monday to let you know if I have the convertors.......

All the best....Mike

6?
I only have one Dx6i, but I also have a Dx6 and 2 Dx5e's - I'm assuming the kit fits all models?
If you could get them for me that would be fantastic! Shipping and insurance to send my transmitters back would be in the range of $50  :-\

Rito then....where the heck did I get "6" from...... age related stupidity......

I'm glad you have given me the models 'cos I can ask for the correct kits for you.

The DX6i kit consists of a small spring, an axle, a short screw and a plastic moulded arm.......It is the sort of kit you need 3 eyes and four hands to install....... have the swear box handy...

I have just managed to crow bar 2 new 3:1 gearboxes and 2 Jamara 480's into the Tiger, tomorrow the Afterburner and a timing mechanism to control the CD turret..... I'm going to strip a reciever out of one of my boats so that I can test it all with an old RC kit...I cant wait for the return of the DX6i...

have a good evening..........Mike

Amerang are the distributors for Hitec, they sent me the conversion kit for my tx free too. It always pays to ask, and I think its great that someone still provides decent customer service. It was a fiddly fitting job though!
