I will happily charge a NI-CD/NI-MH in the Tank but having seen too many pictures of Tanks that caught fire with a LI-PO inside I choose to charge mine in a LI-PO bag and I NEVER let them out of sight whilst they are being charged,
I figure that having spent hundreds of pounds on a Tank it makes no sense to risk losing it for the price of a LI-PO.
At least one Air crash in the USA was caused according to the FAA by spontaneous combustion of LI-PO's carried as freight! Most Airlines in the US will no longer carry LI-PO's as air freight.
