Hi Paul, I had a play last night with the mixer and got it to work. Right stick channels 1&2 so deleted the mix off channel 2 and copied channel 1 mix to channel 2 and reversed it so that gives forward and back wards on channel 1&2. Then I tried same for steering and couldn't get anything to work then after an hour realised I was telling the radio to do it on str command which is on left stick :{ changed to tur command and now turns on right stick.

When I get the wiring an battery securely in place a do a quick video as works really well.

quick video

Battery is loose underneath causing it not to drive far away. :shh:

I've ordered a 6v lead acid battery for a bit more power to the servo's and hopefully add weight to the tank so help traction.

Okay guys,

Now onto the drag claw

Cut off the old rod/arms

Image

Cut off this ring, think it is a finger pull for the toy

Image

Used some carbon fibre fishing rod to make longer arms

Image

Next the shape of the claw frame stopped it from going past 90 degrees,

Image

So filed the square edge to round

Image

Next added some weight to the claw

Image

Onto the mechanics, couldn’t get a servo push rod to work because of the drive servos been in the way. So gone for a pulley arrangement where the servo pulls a flexable cable to raise claw, then it falls under it’s own weight.

Image

Quick video

Then some cutting to hide the servo which is now in the drivers cab

Image

And interior back in place
