Thanks.

Trying to add some pics but not sure if they will appear from my online MS One Drive.

Well that answers that question. :thumbdown: Is there another way to upload images?

Welcome. A lot of us use Imgur and then post links. The new Imgur procedure to post pics is dumb IMO, but it still works. I don't own a Tiger in the like 40 tanks I own, but I do own a Sturmtiger... :)

"data": {
"error": "Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later."
},
"success": false,

Wow! I had some old HengLong tanks with the crystal TX and RX, but I do not recognize those boards at all. I would

1) replace the electronics with HengLong 6.0 or newer
2) swap out the motors and gearboxes with steel metal ones
3) and consider new metal chassis components.

No. 1 and no. 2 would be a great gain. No. 3 might be foregone (at least initially) if El Tigre is only to run indoors on carpeting or flooring. The electronics in no.1 might not be compatible with the smoke unit. But, then, Ready to Run smoke units generally give out quickly anyway.

Here in the U.S., Toucan Hobby is a source for lots of HengLong aftermarket parts, and I have had good service from them, though it helps to know what one is after. (Toucan does not give the kind of customer advice as, say, Dave at Forgebear or Andrew Haya, or some of the German retailers, but shipping from the U.K or Germany here to the U.S. is prohibitively expensive unless one makes a big order (economy of scale :crazy: )

Above all, I see that beautiful unpainted Tiger I upper and lower hull and think that you have a great opportunity to make a relatively inexpensive update and then enjoy your own painting and detailing as much or as little as you wish. Atop all that, you can make poor Meter rat grind his teeth and head for the PotStill. ;)

Dib, dib, dob. I promise to help. (Even if it is a Tigger) I too endorse what others have said. It is your tank, enjoy it. I would definitely recommend fitting new electronics, and gearboxes, to it. HDP, I will be heading into Glasgow at the weekend, to participate in a refreshment or two. The Pot Still is the last pub before the train. 🍺

Prof are you when buying fron Europe being charged VAT (Value added tax)? because I know some dealers in Germany add vat automatically unless they are reminded that it does not apply in the USA, :thumbdown:
With that removed from the bill you only have the postage to deal with and it makes the transaction more bearable :thumbup:
