Actually, Taigens T-34/85 has the slip ring. The Sherman is the 2nd with the 360 turret.

I seem to remember in an early video of this tank by Taigen that the rear deck engine grills opened up. ( like the Mato aftermarkets that you have on your excellent HL ) Is that still the case with this tank? That is a mighty handy feature to have especially if it is a factory standard.

I wish they did painless, unfortunately, they are fixed.

Do the drivers hatches open or are they fixed in position?

Could you maybe put up a video of this so that we can hear the sound quality and also see how it runs?

Would be interested as Alpha has pointed out to see how they are attaching the bogies, maybe a possible HVSS conversion?
Drivers hatches are fixed. I tried uploading a video twice. Each time I go back to copy it's URL, Photobucket says I have deleted the video, which I have not done. Sorry. The tank quality is outstanding, the sound quality is the same as the other Taigen tanks I have.

Mine has barrel and tank recoil because it is the IR version. The air soft does not have barrel recoil.

Good to know JT thanks...think the guy on EBAY didn't quite know his stuff.... because he was selling the BB version...I definitely want the IR version now.... :D

Where does the Apple plug into...didn't see any ports in the hatches

It plugs into the commanders hatch. Just an FYI, my other Taigen tanks have an air soft safety switch in the loaders hatch even though they are all IR (except the Taigen M-26) On this new Sherman, they do not have the switch, but they did put a floor in the hatch. So, another crew member figure can be put there. If you want anymore photos just ask and I'll be happy to post them up tonight or tomorrow.

Joe,
That is a disappointment about the rear deck detail. The tank will eventually still be well worth getting one and swapping the lower onto 'Maxene' and making another complete tank with her existing lower.

I'm sure the after market hatches and grills won't be too far behind.

Evening, Joe,
I'll tell you what did catch my eye there. The bolts and nuts that hold the road wheels on the bogies! HL's Sherman has been needing those since day one. As soon as they are available, 'Maxene' will be benefiting from a set of those. The HL bogie will require a little drilling to make the shafts go all the way through but it will be well worth the extra effort. I don't know about other tankers but I am constantly re-tightening those screws into plastic on the HL Bogie.

Painless
