Had a look at the 8'pin lead and everything seems fine. It's strange that the tank runs perfectly without the upper hull plugged in and connected. When it's plugged in still, starts on the button but then completely dies.

I'm now at a loss, don't want to have to send it back again when all electronics were replaced the last time.

Can any of our electrics experts have any further ideas?

Thanks

What can I say Merlin...had a hunch ;) ....I just hope the RX functions are still working...the best solution would be...to find a Taigen upper hull plug in...it's totally different from the HL

It's a printed board ...better sorted than the one that's stock on the HL Sherman....I would say that was a maybe 2nd gen ...as the new KT has a 14 pin plug in ...a little smaller than the Taigen... but similar in layout.... the Taigen is a nice printed board for easy hook ups when removing the hull as well as the turret...I think it's the main reason they could jump to 360 degree rotation on their new tanks...the configuration was just better

Anyway find the Taigen plug in board... and maybe request schematics with it...as the wire solder points aren't marked...if the RX hasn't been "cross" shorted...everything should work fine again after that ;)

Good Luck Merlin

There's a good chance there was a circuit inside the RX that allowed your tank to function for awhile... I have a hunch (again)...that that circuit may have overheated..and perhaps burned...it's hard to say without having the tank in front of me

One trouble shoot you could do...is reinstall the stock system and see if it works ...if it does...the RX was not compatible and you may have to get the HL 2.4 ;)

I've already got the 2.4 upgrade on its way from Dave / Forgebear. I'm hoping this will sort the issues out as its pissing me off to say the least.

I don't have the old RX as this was replaced when I sent it back.
