That is part of my 1/32 diecast collection. It is a Forces of Valor 'Desert Storm' era Marine M60 with reactive armor. Before I got back into RC tanks, I collected a few of those pieces from F.O.V. and U.S. They look great and serve as nifty research vehicles now. I'm much happier these days because money spent actually starts up and drives around, making noise and shooting. ;o)

Painless, I have that exact M60 in a diorama...... I love those 1/32s from FOV. That's actually what got me started again on armour also since the teenage years of 1/35 Tamiyas. If I ever go back to 1/32 or 1/35 it will just be collecting those. I also have the Chally 2, Bradley, T-72 which is brilliant and the MLRS. I would love to collect the WWII series (Elephant, JT, KT, Firefly etc ) if I get around to it.

Nice collection BTW. You have a very understanding wife.

Michael,
I passed that along and got a smile and a chuckle. ;o) Here are a few close-ups of the cabinet for you. These are shots from earlier this year before I pulled everything and reorganized. ( Something I do periodically to clean the glass and dust )

Painless

OMG is that the entire FOV WWII collection ? I can't think of anything that is missing from that. Love it !

MichaelC.

P.S. I think you are only missing the Firefly in the WWII and the T-72 in the modern. Very impressive Painless.

I used to use my spare room, and it looks like Sov copied my set up. :haha: :haha: :haha:

Having cleared everything out and returned it to normality, I relaised that the more space I had, the more mess I made. I too could never find anything.

I now use two wooden trays on my coffee table, one I throw tools in, the other I do all my cutting and sanding in, the trays keep all the dust and styrene debris in one place and I just need to vacuum them out occasionally. It works like a charm. I still do the airbrushing in a box in the spare room though.

Underneath the table I've got Tiger stuff mostly and a 1/16 Dodge Charger model. Also airbrush stuff and some other kits.

Living in London we have one of those postage stamp sized gardens. Not that I'm complaining - it's good to have any garden at all.

Anyway a few months ago we swapped the decking and a trampoline for a proper Man / Boy shed. That way we were able to get all of the modelling stuff out of the house. My wife is an architect with a taste for minimalism - then we had two boys and her husband started revisiting his youth.

It's a good compromise and the house can now become rather quiet if we're all sitting in the shed!

By the way I can thoroughly recommend the lamps with built-in magnifying glass.

The eagle-eyed will spot my son's 1/6 scale Stuart sticking its nose out of the shelving unit.
