hi jtracks I just copy`d alphas thread & changed it to the half moon type & adding mesh screen to the back deck like alpha ,but when I can afford it I will add proportional smoker with fan add`d , asiatam recoil & muzzle flash . the new set up on the heng long t34/85 & 2.4ghz transmitter ,are good with vol: & smoke buttons on the transmitter .make it easy`r , to change vol:, switch smoke on & off . tanker 242.

I did score some realllllly cheap T-34 metal tracks on eBay Alpha. Now I just need a tank to put them on.

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...Hate to rain on the parade Zuul...but what if you get the Taigen It sure is a pretty tank ...with lots of metal on it already
If it were available sooner... I might have opted in that direction instead of my two HLs... since I have them though...I like them a lot

Wow you got the 2nd gen 2.4 ...awesome... I still have the first gen in mine...When I was doing my build... Phil brought up the subject of the rear decklid... found it opened both ways...forward towards the turret ..or backwards... as you just specified by removing two pins...the one thing I might redo on my hinge is to make it full length instead of how it is now...I don't have pictures of it..but the vent flaps open and close together...Phil made his separate

Hey JT... the mesh I used is kind of course... especially the silver ones I put in first....the second batch was a lot finer...got that from one of those wire pencil holders ...but really... what was suggested to me by another board member would probably be better than both... I just wanted to show the vent louvers... dgsselkirk recommended using the mesh from one of those fry pan spatter screens ...He is using the same mesh on his Panther A build...I don't know why his is square ...as the ones I found here have the same pattern as the pencil holder but much smaller...it was so fine the grills hid the louvers...so I went one step larger

Taigen is now selling the metal screen for their tanks. TAG NO TAG 120246. This is the metal etched grill only.

Very nice tanker... brass hinges sound sweet ...I just used what was available locally ...rc airplane rudder hinges... two of them would have been a perfect length...but I was admittedly a little lazy and just installed one on each side...the cool thing was the loops were the same size and the molded on hinges
