You might find the "Combat history of the Heavy Tank unit 653" Interesting if you want to read first hand information about how the JT was used (also lots of information on the Ferdinand/Elefant). Also the last couple of chapters of Otto Carius's book features some information about how the JT was used and some information about it. They're both relatively cheap and also come in digital versions.

I've found the first book "Combat of the Heavy Tank unit 653" having difficulty locating the other..... :problem:

Otto Carius: Tigers in the Mud. I know it's on Google play if you want a digital copy.



It's well worth reading regardless of the JT stuff in it. He really explains very well what it was like to operate a Tiger and how he became a leading tank ace. He did allot of planning on his bicycle rather than from inside his tank.
