Not sure its possible to turn it off from the tx. I don't think it can do it. If the tracks are slipping I assume you're using the stock idler? If so I'd replace it, its not designed for the weight of metal tracks and won't hold the tension by design. The mountings are fine but replace the drum and axle with the shumo version.
