Valerie had a face lift lol.... she went through a lot of changes to make her more appropriate to the anime
This is the build link
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... er+sherman
according to the anime...the engine deck lid should have been changed out....but I didn't want to deal with the metal integrity of the FOV hull... so I left it with the opening hatches...and worked around those ;)

Yeah the KV2 build was one of my favorites...took a little bit of effort...but she came together well
Here's the thread for that build
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... TER+GIGANT
She has been upgraded to 2.4 gig and runs on the same signal as my T34s :D
She's a real Beauty...I really enjoy her and making her come to life ;)

You want to paint it PINK ? 8O .............. :haha: ...seriously... the HL Sherman is a little harder...that turret almost has no room...but there is a recoil version out...I just don't know where to get those parts....I've seen the barrel listed on Tank Army's auctions on Ebay ...but not the mech
the parts must be available or possible to retro fit...it'll just take some searching and doing

ALPHA
The Taigen Sherman SHOULD be out towards the end of this month. Maybe it's turret will be a direct bolt on.
That's right ...you got one in reserve ....looking forward to your review .... but you have to tell me....why would you want to throw the taigen turret on the heng long chassis 8O don't thing the firing mech will be compatible .. what I'm thinking of doing if the lower is nice....is put that on my Valerie ...then turn that lower into a base for a Grant :haha: ....then maybe the upper into a Firefly :haha: ........sounds crazy right ;)
The only thing that worries me about the taigen is the amount of metal... I like metal...but if it's in the wrong places it'll make modding it difficult

My HL Sherman is the only BB tank I have. The other two are the Taigen IR tanks, just looking at the possibility of later on buying a turret so they'll all be IR. Also, my HL Sherman has the 2.4GHZ installed.

Good reason Jt ....Is it the Taigen 2.4 installed or the HL.... they aren't compatible ...so you might need more than the Taigen turret...but I'm sure you will be able too...but it really depends who they took dimensions from...Mato Tamiya or Heng Long...hard to tell from the video...it has the same engine deck lid as the HL...

The tracks look like the Mato Plastic versions but in metal...even the drive sprockets :D
I think the only issue for me is the commanders hatch...think that turret had the split ...which the full metal mato will have ;)

Yes, I will have to put the Taigen 2.4 in it also. The guy I bought it from wanted to keep it all HL. Can't blame him for that.

If you are going to do that..you may as well try... there's really nothing to loose right :D ....what might be a better Idea is to mod the HL to a different variant and use the Taigen internals mantlet ...armor plate and barrel and mod the HL turret...as the Taigen will be made of metal...that way if you do the slope back turret you can at least add the mato split commanders hatch......though you might be able to cut the metal one off the Taigen and do the same thing...really depends how good their casting is ;)

Thanks ALPHA for the vote of confidence but there will be no cutting of the Taigen turret. I've sent off for some metal hatches for the Panzer IV. I'll have a go at cutting plastic first. :haha:

Shermans are kind of easy though :haha: .....metal or plastic... a hole saw works great lol...I guess that could translate to the Panzer IV as well...but you don't really need to cut to take that one off..it's like opening a beer ...it's a twist off ;) ............. :haha:
