Taigen has differing grades of the same tank like HL. They don't do this with all of their tanks tho' for some reason. Your HL King Tiger lower with some support and sealing would make a great Jagdtiger with Juckenburg's resin kit. Also, there are rumors of Taigen bringing out their own Jagdtiger as well like the Sherman and T-34.

Hmmmm.... perhaps I'll wait a bit before I start to make the wife angry again and see if the Taigen Jagdtiger is decent.

What is a Wecho JT ? Is that the one TankZone was selling a while ago ?

Well, I paid mine (Matorro) year and a half ago for $200 + Shipping and it was pretty rare already and pretty pricy when you consider that everything other than the upper is basically junk. I ended up selling it with upgraded metal gears, sprockets, idlers, tracks, Clark board and a servo recoil for $600. Basically just cover my cost as the gears/sprcokets is special to them and you can't really get them anymore, and I had Impact tracks.

If I add up my Juck upper with the Taigen metal lower, you are looking at $400 for the upper with metal barrel and another $450 for the metal everything lower and electronics so it was close to $1,000 when you add up the various bits and pieces for me (metal hatches and tools, servo) all in.

Jack, the gap is between the last road wheel and the idler, so you will have no problem cutting there and you don't need to move any of the suspension arms I don't think. Maybe one on one side as I think they are staggered aren't they ? Sorry I should have said mine Taigen metal lower, not the plastic HL rebrand.

I think rather than messing with this kit..(unless it was gotten for a really good price) isn't worth it...someone ...another brand or something will come out with one if the demand is there... and quite frankly the juckenburg option sounds like a better option than bidding on this
but keep it under your hat...the seller might be a member :haha: :haha: :haha:

No doubt. The Taigen metal KT hull is a work or art and when you put all metal wheels on it is like the real thing. Don't forgot the famous Matorro KT hump in the lower hull as well.....

That bump is Nasty :haha: ...what makes it even crazier to buy this at that price is the molded Zim on the lower hull :haha: :haha: ...the top doesn't have any 8O ...so it was pretty obvious the the manufacturer meant the bottom to be replaced :haha: :haha:

Yeah my KT has the Torro lower metal hull now which has the same torsion bar suspension as my Tiger does.

If I were to build a Jadgtiger out of this hull I'd have to see how to properly do the right side suspension arm cause they are a mirror image of the left side so I'd have to be 100% sure before I started cutting.

Has anyone gotten the Jadgtiger upper from Ludwig? I like the way he does his out of sheet plastic that interlocks like the metal of the real Jadgtiger.

Wow!
I'm trying to land a black powder revolver this week or either of those beauties could shoulder their way into my lineup. Masterpieces by Juckenburg and the odd provenance one isn't bad either.
