Meaning mod it how i want it and be done, or put it away in a box to store or sell it. Too much time and $ into it to store, and in no condition to sell at the moment even if i wanted to. I think i'm going to have to take the plunge...

Regarding your pricing question the reason the taigen stuff is £10 is because its cheap rubbish. Its made of a sort of rubber and is quite course. The Atak stuff on the other hand is very very well cast resin sheets. The set comes with a replacement mantlet, turret hatch etc (on the tiger and king tiger at least). So your comparing apples and oranges. Im not sure why its costing you so much, the Atak sets in the UK are £32.50 from forgebear.

Tom, 32 quid is about $53USD before shipping....... So $68 sounds about right. Atak stuff is about $50 here before shipping across the pond. Expensive stuff but worth it.

Yes, I did do that but if I had to do it over I would bite the bullet and get the kit. They are so easy to work with...

Thanks for all the feedback fellas! So I ordered the set from Forgebear. The long trip across the pond will give me plenty of time to sand off the putty I botched...counting on the Zimmerit to hide scratches. Good to know you get a new rear hatch, I thought the picture of it included with the Atak meant "not included". That will save me some work that and the mantle is where I put the putty.
Got a new compressor to replace the old clunker that was n't putting out pressure so, the new paint i airbrush on will be the last time I hope.
This one cost me $75 from a guy on Craigs list, in orange county Ca. a Husky He said it was new and it does look it. Of course I use it for tires and blowing dust out of computers and so on too. The last one was "oil-less" and these are only for casual use, after it finally broke I wanted to buy one compressor and be done with it for hopefully forever. This one is oil filled, 3 oz of non detergent compressor oil it holds (regular motor oil will not do it will cause carbon, and the detergent in it is bad for the compressor somehow). It's 3 gallon 1 hp takes about 90 seconds to get to 150 psi.

It's what I've heard... it seems to hold the paint well too
