Well I have been given some weed suppressant to put down and start my course so question is do I start by putting this down then building on top or make some mounds under the matting and build the roads and bridge on top of this ? Any thoughts ? As I don't want to be cutting grass around the course!.

Careful with that stuff if you got pets Horses...it can make them very ill...We all want to see your HQ formalize ...but we want your family to be happy too

How about making putting some concrete down at the back and covering it with a couple of tons of fine sand?. Stick some shrubs in it, put a hill in the middle and a rockery at one end and you have El Alamain.

Sorry Alpha I should of made it clear that it is the black weed matting that weeds can't grow trough and nothing nasty

that can hurt mans best friend my dog, but I do like the sand idea the only down side is having the biggest cat box on the street !, I was thinking some small mounds of pebbles and a few buildings with some old bags of cement that have gone solid as bridge supports

or some sort of landmark.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you may want to start with a lawn mower. LOL!!
Ok now that I got that out of my system, get rid of those bricks unless you plan to use them for "streets". The ramp from the window is a neat idea but do you get much rain where you live? How about snow? If so you may want to make that ramp removable I'd hate to hear your place got flooded in a bad storm. As for the rest, a few trenches, some bridges, maybe trow in a "stream" with the help of a buried garden hose from the house to the top of the slope.

You don't like the bricks??????????????

....I think they are a cool barrier... have something like it in my torture test track...it's great watching my tanks lift into the air and come slamming down

...if anything a nice trench behind it on the high side ...so you get that nice shot to the underbelly of Horse's many King Tigers

Hows the flea and tick situation over there Horses? Two downsides to sand.... they do make a good home for parasites also if it's damp there... they kill your tracks

...Did you see the post by I think Woz... he ran his Tiger through some wet sand...and it bent all his track pins
Sorry to sound negative... just trying to help sort out the pros and cons...
