Marc, Pleased that it is finally coming together, those rollers when they come will hopefully arrive with axles and "C" clips, I hate "C" clips they are a pain to fit and a damn nuisance to remove which is why I always use "R" clips, easy to fit and easy to remove, hope that helps. shaun

By the way Marc I assume you know that the Cupola on the Panzer 111 is identical to the Panzer 4 and just like the tracks is interchangeable, the Panzer 111 just uses fewer links, also things like headlights and the notek light are the same depending on variant. shaun.

Marc,
I am happy to see that you are able to make progress. It can be interminable waiting for parts so that work can resume. I received stuff today from An-Bri-RcModellbau that have been on the burner for a couple of weeks. Not bad from Germany. Looking forward to your next steps.
regards,

It's been awhile since I took apart a transmitter...so I am assuming that is a control module not the receiver module.... did you try salvaging on from one of your other dead transmitters?
Glad to see you got your parts Mark.... at least progress can be made while you wait for your transmitter..

Alpha now there's an idea! I think i do have a couple other useless transmitters laying around. I had so much trouble with the other types I think i have 4 or 5 transmitters laying around here, one or two not working and one even still in the shipping bubble wrapper (for the tk01 radio systems, that i totally gave up on!)Trouble is i have taken these apart and when they are for the different radio system, the NON 2.4 ghz, as soon as you take the back off, the works look very different. If you've never taken the back off a transmitter its a bit like looking inside a cuckoo clock, a lot of levers and wires jammed together. The 2.4ghz transmitter is much more orderly and there is plenty of space to see what's what , it is just several modules commanded by the control levers in front, screwed in place, each one with its own connector to it. So like i said if you had a spare module, it would be a simple matter to just swap in another known good module. I'm not sure it works like that with the other types of transmitters, they are a rat's nest by comparison.

With again, nothing to lose,-might be actually worth tearing into the transmitters i know i'll never use again. Ultimately though, after having too many issues with interference/dead tank/"ghost tank" problems with the other two (tk01, rx18) radio types i am sticking with the 2.4 ghz for the tanks from now on. So many people tell me they have no problems with the RX18 at all but I can never duplicate this, maybe too many interference issues here. If you want to make these other types work all the time, i get the feeling perhaps they just all need a cooling fan added- because they work fine for about a minute then start acting up. To me its not worth messing with anything else but the 2.4 ghz really.

I've taken apart transmitters... the old ones..both the ABC and crystal...but I've never had to touch the 2.4s...so you are way ahead of me...so I'm not sure if any changes were made to the crystal hand sets....but really you have nothing to loose except time on this.. I think I would try if it happened to me

Good Luck MarcImage
