Privet ALFA, I have been thinking about this and I am drawn to the present DIETRICH gave his Son for Christmas, he took a perfectly good plastic toy built in it's thousands and put in a number of alterations perhaps the most important being his love for the boy, what came out at the end was still a toy but a quite unique one. We buy Armour which almost without exception is marketed originally as toys and if we choose we can buy all the upgrades from Matomart, Welsh Dragon or wherever, put them on and you have what? A tank with a lot of upgrades, that's what, BUT we choose not to do that, oh yes we do buy upgrades, but along with that goes research, long hours of adaptation and alteration, truly blood, tears, toil and sweat and we produce something so unique that it is unlikely that you could reproduce an exact copy. I probably spend as much time thinking through my build as the time I take in the actual build and unlike the "toy" you bought we all know that none of our builds are ever really finished, I do not care whether Tamiya, Heng Long, Taigen or any other makers of scale armour come out with a model that I had just expended many hours on because my Tank is just that MINE.Some of the builders on this Forum have a style that makes you say before you have seen their name who it is. Please old friend don't tell me I have missed the point, I get little pleasure in swearing ;)
I am looking forward to the PANZER4, certain in the knowledge that as with all that you have built it too will be unique. shaun

Greetings Gentlemen..as I have thought about it ...and read the input from you all.. I tend to agree...though the irony still there be... We are modellers... build what we like ..to our own personal preferences...truly making the model our own
The realization coming when you walk into your hobby room and are surrounded by things you may have altered ...recalling the process..painful as it may have been at the time ... and raise a little grin ..as you pull it off the shelf to actually take into view all the work put into each creation ;)

Happy Tanking Gents!
