Ah so its Tamiya XF9 Hull Red and not red oxide automotive primer at all !!............thanks for clearing that up mate.
looks like im on the right track.............................

The tamiya hull red is much darker than most red oxide primers I've used

Good Morning,
I concur with Tom. I used the Tamiya Hull Red on my Panther G and it is very dark. Phil, you have produced an astonishing Panther, Sir. I love the little extra touches like the brush rings and the panels on the crew heater portion of the rear vents. The tools are beautiful as is the chain and cover for the bow MG. ;o)

Hi Guys -

I used a Krylon, Ruddy Brown to simulate the Red Oxide - not as dark as the Tamiya hull red. Only drawback is it is in a 16oz Spray can....

Been a while, IBU2 pro with TPA installed with a transducer fitted to the underside of the hull which gives awesome sound.

Yellow added and airbrushed numbers, looks like a new tank so a little weathering is needed but not much.

As always Phil... fantastic job...see you took out the smoker on this one... any plans on putting in an upgrade.... or is smoke a thing of the past... ;)
