I did some more playing around last night. But must of over done it as it just stopped working so hopefully a days rest and I try again tomorrow.
Strange you mention only the right stick needs to be used for binding. I used this tutorial video from Imex Models

Hi Ian,
I think there has been some difference in opinion as to the correct interpretation of Taigens Chinglish instructions.
It is a bit ambiguous but to my mind it does only mention the machine gun and power switches in the process. Taigen call the engine switch "start up and extinguish set" which is not mentioned at all in their bind instructions. I suppose Imex have interpreted the same sheet differently.

I always only turn on the MG and then the power on the radio, when it stop flashing then I turn off the MG and then flip the power switch off and on and it is binded.
I think IMEX got the Tank power switch confused (The power switch on the tank rather than the engine switch on the radio). I am amazing this even works.
Michael.

Right guys thanks for your help but looks like it's the MFU causing the issue. Now I know why I like the IBU so much, none of these issues.
Ian.

You can't compared the two really. The Taigen and RX-18 is disposable, if one doesn't work you just replaced it. IBU, Clark etc is Hobby grade and you don't expect them to not work.
