Re: Barrel velocity

Has anyone tried converting a Gas Blow Back or EBB mechanism to use in a tank? Ive had a look around a few different HL Airsoft units and wonder if were just trying to polish a turd? Might be better to ditch the lot and start fresh with a decent set of mechanical parts that are already known to work better.

Ive tried several including the paintball type using a block of ported UHMW material machined to allow the barrel to recoil as the gun fired. After creating a double stacked component tray system and the hassle of CO 2 leaking that went to the bin.

Perry and Thomas both has a working CO2 gun system with a gravity feed mag and static barrels. Just run out of Hull space pretty quick. The Jagdpanther has been the best so far for mods, lots of space, Yet crispy your a better craftsmen than me mate go for please, I thought about after market airsoft pistols as well. Maybe shedding the frame and using the internals.

I get no pleasure saying this but if you are resident in the UK do please remember that the law on firearms is much stricter than in most States of the United States, You could easily exceed the legal muzzle velocity and find yourself in big trouble, sorry I just thought it needed saying. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Something to toy with then. I doubt I'd get anywhere near the magic 1 joule, 328fps mark with .2g BBs anyway :) Besides I'm thinking my brother will start complaining if I remove his photo etched detail parts and stowage with BB's! Then again he always seems to end up shooting me when we go airsofting... and we're on the same team so a little Kharma might be in order :)
