Welcome to the insanity! My home town of Erie, PA has the record for snowfall this year. Not missing it. :)

Welcome Casor:

This is a great forum populated by expert modelers who are more than willing to share their knowledge and advise. However, be warned, this hobby is addictive.

Thankfully In Ephrata Pa. we don't have the snow palepainter has to face. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before patrols can take place outside.

Oh yes Its rather a long way from the frozen north to these antipodean tropics !
Being a New Zealander living the dream in Australia, I first felt like a new engine that had been stuck in a heavy transport vehicle going up a steep incline with a stuck thermostat !! :O , how in the hell do you function in a country where it feels like some smart ass has left the oven door open on fan-bloody bake ??!!
Welcome in mate, you will soon see as I have that there are guys in here that in other lives would been carried through the streets on the shoulders of the likes of me for their skill levels.

I also have spent time treading the path for weeks through key sites in Europe, and have had the erie experience of the Gettysburg Battlefield at early twighlight.............the mild dissapointment of Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland (they were moving many trophies to a new site) and walked the entire Valley Forge park on Labour weekend...........I think this hobby thing becomes an extention of what you are really interested in, and gives you the outlet for images and experiences you have along the way. I love P.A. & one day might get to do the classic nude snow angel in the winter !!
For now its +30C here, rain today but not enough, and tomorrow comes the humidity.........but rugby season is on again, thank you "gods gam" .
