Speedy little thing isn't it The camcorder battery sounds like a reasonable solution

Eddy,
That is extremely cool. ;o) The Camcorder batts sound like a good idea as long as the voltage matches up. I was chuckling when the HL startup noise went off thinking that if my Kublewagen sounded like that starting up, my next drive would be to Battalion Mechanics.

Painless

Good morning, Painless!
Yes, it's true. But from two evils I choosed the smalest one and I think it is better to hear the Heng Long sounds than the sound of small Tamiya motor. In addition, the space is so small, that there aren't anything special electronics to insert ...
Have a nice day!

I know you have gotten this far with the taigen unit now, but wonder if this is still of interest to you. Clark have just introduced the TK35 a control board for 1/35 tanks. It seems to be smaller (39mm/49mm/10mm). It is being released in February.
Good evening!
Thanks everyone for the advices!
The problem realy was in low voltage of the battery. I tried camcorder 7,2 V battery and everything is OK now, no shutdown!

That looks like so much fun ...I especially like that a Kubelwagen emulates such a low throaty tank sound
I've never seen one of these actually assembled and running... but that video is inspiring
