Nice general modelling interest you have.
Live steamers, I still have the 3/12" Tich, which I built as my apprentice project 1954 - 59. and my favourite later build 5", 4-2-2 Stirling Single.

The Tanks will multiply with no encouragement at all.

1/6th yep just the same, get one and soon you will several.
Your wallet will be thinner, but the positive is, you will have saved the economy almost single handed.

Just to say I have added a couple of bits of allied armour to the collection brought for a few quid so I don't mind hacking them about a KV-1 and a Walker Bulldog,both basic models so will be hacking these while I decide on a larger scale model.
