Coming together nicely. By the way, what paint scheme do you intend to do?

@ DOG: Nice!! Looks like you're almost done. I'm still uncertain myself..... I completely suck at camo jobs and don't wanna ruin it. perhaps a little more research would give me more options.... I'll probably lay in the Dunklegelb first, then decide on what to do next.

No I've got lots to do on it yet. As for a camo paint scheme no tank was ever the same and on most cases it was down to the tank crew and what time they had .What paint are you using ?

I'm partial to using acrylics - tamiya and model color, though I usually use the former since it's easier to come by where I'm from. I've just sprayed the lower hull with Mr. Surfacer, tomorrow I'll base coat the road wheels and return rollers. Hopefully I'll be able to dry-fit the lower assembly by late afternoon. I'm trying to find out if there are J variants that used only 2 tones in their paint scheme. Have you considered equipping yours with the mesh schurzens?

I've been doing some research on the web for the schurzens. Apparently, the A-frame mounts to the hull covers (in the side) for the engine compartment. Which unfortunately for us, is molded on the hull. Right now, I'm narrowing down the list of reference materials needed for this build and (hopefully) future builds.
Right now, I've completed the top coat of the lower hull (dark yellow), I'm scheduled to weather it in the next few days. The camo scheme is still a hanging question... As much as possible, I'd like something historically accurate. Hopefully, I could get some more info... but Ausf J camo schemes I seem to find on the net are few and limited to the default 3 tone, and the winter whitewash.... A lot of Ausf H's came schemes though.... Need to look harder I guess.... Post some of your progress pix if any

Hi Inaki,
Mart (Ex-Pat-Tanker) has schurzen plans for the PzIII & PzIV.
If you PM him I'm sure he will send them to you.
Cheers
