Re: STUG III
The skirts themselfs are not fragile they are made of plastic and are fairly robust its the plastic brackets at the bottom that could do with being metal I might get round to it one day the problem with metal is its harder to glue on to plastic anyone got a good sullution to that one? :-[

Hi Chris I have looked and I can't find any nuts and bolts small enough for this in the model shops in Glasgow where do you get yours from.

Re: STUG III
I had a few tiny cross-head bolts left over from the Tamiya tanks I've built over the years. Have a look on e-bay - I'm sure you could find something similar there. I'm going to have to do the same shortly 'cause my supply is now running out! Either that or buy another Tamiya kit - I wonder if my better half will go for that one?steviebhoy wrote: Hi Chris I have looked and I can't find any nuts and bolts small enough for this in the model shops in Glasgow where do you get yours from.

Re: STUG III
Great Job.
I have had nothing but trouble with side skirts on operating RC tanks. In the first 30 minutes it will look as though it has been in combat for 3 months!!!!!!! I have added a 3:1 gear reduction, and let me tell you from experience that in a battle of wills between the side skirts and running gear caused by debris in the running gear, the running gear has won out everytime, The side skirts get broken off, twisted and left laying in the mud.

Re: STUG III
hi dongskie
if you want a stug at a good price wht not try dominique at rc tank.de, what i would be tempted to do if i was you, is buy the stug upper body from them http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... cts_id=565 ,then i would put that on youre p3 lower hull, as you can see from the link the stup upper body is quite cheap, you would then have a 2in1 tank, p3 when you felt like it, then the stug!!!
