I would say about 8kg! It's a heavy beast, so much so I've upgraded the tu's to the black steel type. I've also reinforced the gunners vision slit

Looking suitably weighty..!
I'd also like to hear more about this Mr Danube - does he have a site?
One of the many things I love about the Sturmtiger - surely one of the least subtle armoured vehicles of the war - is the fact that most (all?) were built on reconditioned Tiger hulls sent back from the front. So you get some with partial zimmerit, others with the remains of mid production Feifel air cleaner mounts. I've even seen photos of one with rubber tyres - although this was possibly a prototype.

Good Afternoon,
You can hear the motors and gears whining to move that Monster. At one moment, I thought it was going to lumber into a superspin and laughed out loud, thinking what a horror that maneuver would have been in real life to friend and foe alike!

Painless Wolf

Time to get my long suffering sturm off the bench and into the paint shop! I've started to tidy up various bits and add some detail:
Stripped off the vinyl zimm and sanded the glacis and rear plate:
Added a tab to fix the upper and lower in place properly
Cross members to pull the "wings" of the hull together to prevent them dropping:
Flame cutting marks and reworking the previous cuts so they're now perpendicular to the front plate:
Filling gaps between the casemate and lower hull:
Hollowed out the air filter pipes:
Extra weld beads:
On the drivers periscope cover on the prototype is split so I have added this:

Well apparently we're expecting the worst snow in 50 years....sooo I'll definitely get some videos if I get the chance. She is mighty heavy, could make running on snow interesting!
