Hi Diesel,
I wonder if this thread might prove helpful.

Erik is I think the US importer for Taigen, and I think his web site has links and contact details for US Taigen retailers. There might be someone selling them that you have not come across yet.

I was in the same situation . I had in stock a basic mod 1, 5 year old Tiger and wanted a ultimate metal version. So what ive done due to finances ( or lack thereof ) is each month "buy a metal bit"
I'm looking forward in the near future to a time where I can sit down with a chuffing big box of all the metal add ons and start converting on one go.
Sadly its all down to wallet capacity these days rather than preference......

for me ,if i could afford it. I'd go Tamiya kit, but as that is'nt the issue i'd buy a cheap H/L and then upgrade myself.
no worries about the dreaded glue monkey or last thing friday build issues. and the satisfaction of "I did that"

Thank you Rocketman looks like it will come down to that.
Thank you Eastern Front & teddyt appreciate your input.
scalawag Eric from Taigon got back to me and may i say he was very helpful and tried his best to come up with a good price unfortunately i live to far away and the shipping charges are almost the same price as the tank. Though he did give me a link to an Australian dealer which i have already emailed and am waiting to hear back from him but i think it will be the shipping issue again...
Cheers Diesel

I cant get over the pre occupation with the HL Tiger its just bad (turret position for a start ). Get a WSN Tiger1 mid version its detail is excellent rip out the electrics and put in a clark board all done for 130 pounds, ive been running mine with an SLU in for over two years no problems I did just swap to metal tracks as I had literally worn down the tread but that's two years of wear. The gearboxes have given no trouble at all
