I may even try swapping the Elmod one with a Maplins jobbie to see if I get better range.
Davids emitter is good for 30ft (and probably more, but thats the length of my living room and hallway) - how much range do you need :o ??? ;D
I'd hate to end up with anally retentive spec's like some of the US clubs, but I would encourage people to try to keep the emitter beam focused - We all laugh at the WSN system's ability to hit a tank at nearly 90 Deg off bore, but its no fun if somebody shows up to a battle with a search light for an emitter ;D
I've come up with a spec for my fleet that I'm happy with, but I'm certainly not going to force anybody else - just try to make sure that you actually have to point the gun at the other tank in order to hit it folks ;)
just my $0.02..

There is a golden rule...it never snows in Bristol, and it's true!

I know what you mean about the 'takeover'. I sold an RC helicopter as that was a money pit, then got sucked into model railways that cost me a fortune, so I sold all of that and thought...hey....a £49 tank, can't go wrong! Not too sure how this happened but that has turned into the most advanced piece of technological wizardry that surpasses anything that Harry Potter could have dreamt up!

Friends think I am completely mad!

Hi there Wibly......I so agree.....we have taken the same path.  Helicopters, trains, boats......oh and dont forget the wife as an expense!!!

I take it that you call yourself after your bank balance....very wibly and wobly.

I too have an amazing collection of parts and electronics called a Tiger......I will attempt to add up the cost when Ive finished. The compressed air cans alone are in excess of £40 now......should have bought the compressor...

I've just bought a PZ4 from Tankzone cos no one else had them....the machine gun flashes don't work so I am waiting for his reply as to how he will replace the tank...hopefully.

9 inches of snow here in Essex......14 inches on the roof of my work building this morning...and more to come

Have fun.......Mike

I don't think the Panzer IV has a machine gun flash?
The contacts are there on the socket on the upper hull, and you can easily hook up one of Andy's replacement flashing machine guns - but none of the F1'a I have bought over here had an MG LED?
