What the lifting points? No don't seem to have them but a bit of curved wire or styrene strip should do the trick. TBH the kit mirrors are the early type that aren't very butch! I was intending to remake them out of brass rod bent into a 3 sided rectangle to look like truck mirrors. Then I found out in Generation Kill (the book I think) they completely removed the mirror section and folded the arms forward anyway. Large shiny bits on Recon vehicles aren't a good combination!

RM made his wipers from square styrene strip cut and glued together.

Updated pic with few bits added mentioned above.

Thanks Crispy, may have a go at scratch building some stuff but wipers look a tad fiddly lol

The lifting hooks could be easy with some pipe.

Looking good mate. Thinking about the lift hoops, I recon a paper clip cut and through the holes would do it?

I'll give that a go, the thicker ones should suffice?

Made some bonnet lifting hooks and some late style win mirrors from wire and stuff from the spares box :)

Looks pretty convincing and should look great once in base colour!

Rear bumper made but need to add detail parts.

Pics to follow this weekend.

That's looking very nice Ad Lav. Those door mirrors look so much better than the kit items. The bars and bonnet hoops fit the part just right mate.

Don't know if you're a wethering man but it's very easy to add scratches to this body simply by rubbing the raised areas with a rough kitchen pad, the sort you'd use on a frying pan. It's just rough enough to remove the sand coloured paint in a worn away effect, leaving the green to show through underneath.

Cheers :)

Yeah I was going to add scratches with a paint brush and green paint but may try that :)

How would I go about doing a wash? Must google it as paint looks to new!
