Hi folks,
Follow this link through:
http://www.rc-panzerketten-forum.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=19380
Links to the manufacturer, plus a bit of a report.
Unfortunately the quality is lacking a bit and the guy who took the photos ended up sending it back.
Not cheap either!

http://www.mk-modelle.de/index.php?cat= ... ct=P000001 these 251's are based on the 1/25 Panther chassis, I think the hardest part is to make the upper body and the front steering mechanism

I think if one of the scratch builders based on hear built one he would be able to sell templates so others could make there own, I have 3-4 Panther's and Jagdpanther's

Yeah that wouldnt be too hard. Question i have it how would you do the steering on the front wheels. I assume they steer like any normal car but dose the real thing actually "steer" the vehicle in the conventional manner or is it mostly done through the tracks like a tank?

Hi Guys as far as the American ones go they had a valve on the steering the more you turned it it would apply a brake to the inside track .As for the german ones dont know how they worked but must have some way to alter the tracks otherwise they would have gone straight insteed of turning.

If you wanted to make it easy. You could make the wheels steer like a shopping trolly wheel. Steer it by the tracks and let the force of the movement steer the front wheels.

The Trumpeter 1/16 US Half track is a very nice kit but it has been suggested difficult to R/C without a lot of internal strengthening work due the scale thickness of the plastic.
