Bit slow in reading this but I've used Panzer Boutique to buy a Clarke board. The board came and was faulty but was replaced with no quibble by return. Excellent service. The instructions were in French but you can download them in English from then Clarke website.
Whilst the Clarke price is lower, the import tax/ VAT will most likely be levied on receipt so no difference in price.

Re the hatch locking mechanism for the tiger I made my own for my Tamiya tiger by cutting a disc of plastic the right size, gluing it in and fabricating the lock from microstrip. I recall the asiatam metal replacement hatch was profiled to the same curve on the inside as to the outside so would need filling to 'fatten' it. I didn't bother in the end & kept the plastic one.

Hi Tankie,
If jarndice is in the UK or the European Union then VAT and import duties are not applicable on items bought from France. The EU is a free trade zone so there are no taxes on goods bought from one member and then posted to another.
If you buy from USA or China then you will get taxed on high value items. That is why Chinese Ebay seller nearly always put 'Gift' in the description of the item and often under value it ... :D

Strangely I have always been charged on items from the US, but only once on items from the Far East. I have managed to escape any charges at all on Clark boards direct from Clark, has anyone else ever been caught out?

I got caught out with a tamiya mfu, but only because the exchange rate shifted and just went over the £15 limit. The tax was only a fiver but parcel force then charged me £20 (!!!!!!) or the privilege of having it stuck in customs for a week :/

Parcel Force or should I say Arse-cel Force suck big time. Don't know why people use them to post to customers, had a parcel note through the door saying no one was in, (guess what we all work to pay for our tank bits) and won't delivery weekends.

So I have to go to a nominated post office and pay an extra £ to pick it up myself or go half way across London to pick it up. Went to pick it up and it wasn't there, I'm not go into the frustrating details now but it took over a week to track it down.

Venders please don't use Parcel force, this is not the only time this has happened.

Rant over.. Been stung by the tax thing as well.
