Yep, I have also read a lot of debate on the forums about the authenticity of the red oxide primer as camouflage color on panthers and jagdpanthers. The thing is there was also gray primer that was used on panther hulls during the war. So do they just cover red oxide (as substitute for rot braun) over the gray primer? Effectively priming the tank twice?

Also the Bovington panther was assembled (by REME from parts left over from the abandoned MNH factory) after the war so it doesn't belong to any real german unit that fought in the war.
