Using photo's of Mike Gibb's Jagdpanther I set about the jack and mountings. A couple of paper clips were added for the missing handles and the "foot" of the jack was reshaped plus the length of the jack was shortened as it is too long. The handle was then cut and remounted and the end of the handle drilled out to look more authentic. Mounts were made using brass sheet and plasticard. The wing nut is a bit of sprue drilled and fuse wire glued in place,I know my wing nut is on the "wrong" side but I'm claiming its a field modification.

Very nice work there.......Its amazing how rough the steel on the "Real" JagdPanther is....... I know that it has "sat and rusted'' for probably over 40 years but it is still quite a pitted surface....I think that my Panzers are too smooth.... :haha:

Thanks buckeye36 I wouldn't have thought of that for their use given their configuration.

Wow, great job with the detailing. Not sure how I missed your work but your banging out a sharp looking Jagdpanther...

see a lot of attention to detail. Because I'm curious.....

Should it be a tank for real driving, or a mobile exhibit more?

I know from prime, personal experience that it would be best detalieren real drive models only up to a certain point.

Thanks for the comments guys. The idea behind my tanks is to have a lot of detail on them up to a certain point but still be able to drive them inside and outside. I'm also planning to build a diorama to display and photograph them on.
There are some updates coming but I've been distracted as I'm planning a narrow gauge model railway now I have somewhere in the house to build one.

Ok so the front light was the next item to go under the knife so to speak. The original led was removed, tubing replaced, the original fitting was filled and shaped as was the light.
Next it was paperclip time, used for the wiring loom.
