Regarding colour matching I follow turn to these:

Siggi you have been doing this long enough to know that in Modelling there are some golden rules that can never be broken

The 10 rules of modelling

#1 whatever you pick as Dunkelgelb will be wrong
#2 whatever you pick as Olive Drab will be wrong
#3 whatever you pick as Russian 4BO Green will be wrong
#4 whatever you pick as Panzer Grey will be wrong
#5 No mater how much you spend on an airbrush someone will find a more expensive one to make you feel Inadequate.
#6 No mater how good you build a kit someone will point out the kits error making you ask "why did I bother"
#7 No mater how many kits you buy to hide in your loft you will still have to buy loads more, even if they are the same as the ones you already have, but at least you have stopped someone elso from buying it and maybe building it.
#8 No Matter how glossy you want your finish your gloss finish wont be glossy enough
#9 No Matter how Matt you want your finish your Matt finish wont be Matt enough
#10 Anything you want to build will be out of stock.

I think when painting a tank as long a colour looks right then that's enough. There was that much range in shades produced that going for exact matches is silly. Also remember when building scale models toake them look right you have to use a lighter shade (ie real panzer grey will look too dark on a model or so I'm told) .

Very nice looking tiger 1. The camo , zimmerit and metal road wheels really make it work. If your like me ( I did a mid production model ) you might start thinking that the HL turret is in the wrong place which it is . It's to far forward on the tanks deck. I'm sometime going to move mine to its correct position.

NICE.
I think it's a good result and you should be proud of what you've achieved!

I'm quite new to this forum (and haven't posted either of my sad 'builds' yet) but I reckon the options to cosmetical or mechanical enhancement isn't just based on individual's attention to detail but (as in my case) the available time and money one can invest.

Hey there Giant.... the new version of the Heng Long Tiger... the upper hull has been corrected ... so you could just do a quick change out.. have seen the new upper sell for about 25 dollars....not bad considering the cost of materials and time involved in modding the old ones ;)

Happy Tanking SirImage

 In my own defense Herman.... What I have in tracks has come with help from fynsdad..and sassgrunt...which in itself is a good and bad thing... as I've become totally unhappy with plastic tracks :haha: :haha:

Tom... good points to remember Image

Glyn...Very Nice Job... subtle weathering...I like it Image

Happy Tanking GentsImage

Winterketten mate, I had 2 sets new to the market sent from Mato in Canada like seasons freash Caviar & ole Mr Alpha had a set already fitted to his StuG III like a poke in the proverbial eye by the school bully :O :O :O

But he sent me a virtual hug by telling me about the 'you-beut' adjusters that you can get to make best use of them :haha: :haha:

Gotta hand it to Mr alpha, hes smoother than a gravy sandwich

I got them for the next 2 projects..................
