Having first removed the front and rear sections from the one piece kit fender I am ready to add functioning mudguards. I will start with the rear.

To complete, I still need to fit a spring mechanism and reflector

Next to complete the front guards.

I have started work on the front mudguards also. Still to add the spring mechanisms to both front and rear guards.

Started making springs for the mudguards last night. Using 05mm HT Steel to make the springs. Then heat treating so they work.

That brings things a bit more up to date.

Here is the scissor lift I use.

http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.a ... results=16

I got this one as it's wider than most other models so much more stable. The problem is the bar for adjusting is short so you need to make an extension. very easy. I found a bar from some old weights which fitted perfectly. Really happy with it. I will post a picture of the mod if you need it.

Hi.
Great work on the mudguards, v.tidy work. What thickness of brass are you using? and how did you acheive the rivet detail?
cheers

Brass sheet is 0.6mm. Rivet detail is achieved using brass rivets :D . 3.5MM X 3.5 MM BRASS ANGLES.
